A Glimpse of How Suzuki Motorcycles Came To Be
Suzuki motorcycles began their endeavor in the two-wheeled automobile industry with the launching of their motorized bicycle (read: not motorcycle) named “Power Drive” concurrently with the downfall of their original industrial loom business. The blueprint of Power Drive was highly distinguished by the Japanese government that the government sponsored Suzuki’s further research in two-wheeled automobiles. Suzuki motorcycles got famous immediately in the US and UK market due to their manufacture of Suzuki X-6 Hustler. The two-stroke X-6 Hustler during that time was considered to be one of the world’s fastest motorcycles.
In the early ‘70s, Suzuki motorcycles experienced a catastrophe during the release of RE5, which is said to be the first Japanese motorcycle that has a rotary engine. Suzuki motorcycles loss a lot money from that investment yet they aimed to bounce back in the succeeding years.
After several years of experience in the two-wheeled automobile industry, Suzuki motorcycles got noticed worldwide once again with the launching of the lightest motorcycle, the GSX-R750. The launching of this model has made a big contribution in the fame of Suzuki motorcycles that even up to this moment, where some 20 years ago has passed when the GSX-R750 was first manufactured there are still demands for the said model in the market.
