President Obama’s “Beast”

US President-elect Barack Obama will be inheriting a ton of problems when he takes his oath of office on January 20: a tanking economy, loss of investor confidence, unemployment, and two wars. What he won’t be inheriting from W though is the presidential limousine. For the new Commander-in-chief, Cadillac has made a new presidential limousine…one that takes the President’s ride well into the 21st century.

Of course, most details are classified for security purposes. What can be seen externally however is that the new car is huge. Yes, it’s still a car, but it’s almost as tall as a Tahoe. The doors are extremely thick, no doubt to provide the president with proper shielding should anything untoward happen. It most likely has other security systems in place, except of course we normal citizens aren’t allowed to know about them.

Cadillac has said that the President has all the communications tools he needs to work even while on the go. The new car contains Cadillac’s signature front and rear ends, so from some angles, the car looks a bit like a super sized CTS.

Because of all of its features and its huge size, Obama aides have nicknamed the new car “the Beast”. Here’s hoping that it provides the new President with all the security and mobility that he will ever need.
